John Dickinson was born in London in the 1950s. He has worked in the photographic industry for over thirty years. The inspiration for the book came from
spending eleven years in the Middle East; before, during, and after the September
11th attacks. He does not support violence as a solution to any problem and is sympathetic towards the Palestinian problem.
A Tear for Islam is a 91,000 word manuscript and took ten years to write.
It is a fictional account of what could happen in the future.
